SERGEANT MAJOR ASSOCIATION OF SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA

The Sergeants Major Association of Southwest Oklahoma is a private, non-profit organization comprised of retired and active-duty Command Sergeants Major and Sergeants Major, and equivalents from all services. Our efforts focus on supporting the Fort Sill/Lawton military communities and families through various philanthropic activities in partnership with local businesses, and by assisting and directing programs and activities impacting Military Members, Civilians, and Family Members.

The Association gives a scholarship to a student from each of the 5 main high schools. The students must submit a packet to include an essay on different subject each year. These packets are reviewed by a committee selected by the association, the committee chooses the best packet from each high school for that student to receive a scholarship of $1000.

The Association also works with the Veterans Center, the VFW, just to name a few community activities. Always seeking ways to help in the community.
