In 2020, ARF implemented several shelter programs and started working as a foster based rescue until funding for a shelter can be aquired. To date, ARF has implemented 5 primary shelter programs including:
1. Vouchers that help pay spay/neuter costs helping those in need, seniors, and veterans.
2. Trap-neuter/spay-vaccinate-return (TNVR) spay/neuter clinics focused on spaying/neutering feral and stray cats.
3. Foster/Transfer/Adoption - ARF has partnered with SpokAnimal of Spokane, WA and MCPAWS of McCall Idaho and Idaho Humane Society in Boise ID. We transfer animals to these 3 shelters where they have a better chance of adoption. ARF adopts out and assists with rehoming animals as often as possible but due to our remote location, and low population base, not all animals can find suitable homes locally.
4. Pet Food Pantry to assist with emergent need for pet food and/or supplies to low income, disabled, veteran and senior citizen pet owners.
5. Emergency medical veterinary assistance for low income, disabled, veteran and senior citizen pet owners.
