The Papillion Community Foundation serves the humanities through the variety of events we host each year. Highlighting culture and inclusivity is a primary focus at our events. We also provide an avenue to other non-profits to share their message at these events giving them an opportunity to reach over 50,000 people.
We support Veterans through Veterans Park and Pantry for Our Patriots. Honoring veterans through recognizing their service and feeding veterans in need.
The Papillion 150 includes legacy projects promoting public art, Nebraska history, arts for children, music, education and natural sciences. We have over 90 community volunteers and 8 committees dedicated to honoring and celebrating 150 years of Papillion and beyond. Some of these projects include: Wings Over Papillion Public Art Project, Butterfly Effect Mural project – being the change you want to see in the world, Papillion Historical Walking Tour, Boy Scout Cabin Restoration Project, partnership with Papillion La Vista Arts Network (PLAN) to create a historical play performed by PLAN students, partnership with Papillion Area Concert Band – celebrating 150 years of music with Papillion specific composed music that is performed with a local choral group of all ages, and the Papillion Butterfly Pollinator and Habitat Garden.
