Rewrite the BiLine's mission is to rewrite the narrative on bi+ people and non-nuclear families in film, television, and the media.
Although bi+ people make up the majority of the LGBTQ+ community, our stories are consistently overlooked on screen and on stage. When bi+ characters do appear, they are too often reduced to harmful stereotypes. These portrayals fuel stigma that extends beyond media—contributing to real-world discrimination, erasure, and inequality. Bi+ people face higher rates of poverty, are paid less on average, and experience alarming levels of sexual violence.
We believe meaningful visibility on screen, on stage, and throughout society requires intentional, sustained action. That’s why our diverse and growing movement partners with creators, institutions, and leaders to reshape both the stories we tell and the systems that affect bi+ people and non-nuclear families.
We invite you to learn more about the movement, and join us!
