Support gamedevmap’s paid internship program advancing workforce development within the global game industry.
For more than twenty years, gamedevmap has served as a public infrastructure resource for the game development ecosystem. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are committed not only to maintaining this global directory, but also to investing in the next generation of industry stewards.
This project funds four paid internships (8 hours per week) for senior-year university students based in California, supporting the efforts of our Working Board in the following areas:
• Data entry and verification across 100+ countries
• Studio outreach and ecosystem research
• Communications and public engagement
• Website and tools development
Interns gain practical experience at the intersection of digital infrastructure, research, nonprofit operations, and global community engagement. The program also supports the development of thoughtful, journalistic-style coverage of game industry history and culture around the world.
Interns are mentored by veteran game industry leaders in structured workflows, professional communication, and ethical data stewardship.
