ABA Legal Assistance for Military Personnel (LAMP)

The Standing Committee on Legal Assistance for Military Personnel (LAMP) fosters the continued growth of the military legal assistance programs; promotes the delivery of legal services to military personnel and their family members; and works with other organizations to enhance the scope, quality, and delivery of free or affordable legal services to eligible legal assistance clients. There are two ways to volunteer with the ABA Military Pro Bono Project:

Pro Bono Legal Assistance: Attorneys interested in providing pro bono legal help to military members may register to receive email notices of case opportunities from the Project when cases arise in the attorneys’ geographic areas and substantive legal areas of expertise.

Operation Stand-By: Attorneys joining Operation Stand-By may periodically receive short calls or emails from military or civilian attorneys in need of consultation on substantive or jurisdiction-specific information relating to the attorneys’ areas of expertise.
