Connecticut's veterans are not just preserving history — they're bringing it to life.
The Connecticut Veterans Foundation connects military heritage with modern communities through education, storytelling, and civic engagement. We believe that honoring veterans means more than monuments — it means ensuring their contributions shape how future generations understand our nation's founding.
Our work includes developing a statewide Revolutionary War Tourism Trail that guides visitors through Connecticut's most significant military heritage sites, making history accessible and relevant for families, students, and history enthusiasts across the region.
We support veterans as educators and storytellers through our Veterans Memory Program, which empowers veterans — including student veterans — to preserve oral histories, share their service experiences, and build careers around that mission.
We also bring Connecticut's military legacy to broader audiences through public television programming, community events, and partnerships that honor both those who served in the Revolutionary era and those who serve today.
Your support funds initiatives with a clear purpose and a tangible finish line — led by veterans who are taking action, not waiting for someone else to tell the story.
