The RHI Adaptive Sports Program is also part of the RHI Foundation. The RHI Sports Program (RHISP) serves hundreds of people – as young as six years old - who participate in an array of recreational and competitive activities. RHISP is always evolving, changing, and growing.
From wheelchair tennis, wheelchair lacrosse, sled hockey, power soccer, LoveYourBrain Yoga, wheelchair basketball, pickleball, archery, laser shooting, bass fishing, downhill snow skiing, adaptive water skiing, and a hundred other recreational activities, RHISP offers adaptive sport opportunities to everyone in our community living with a physical disability. We served 76 disabled veterans and members of the armed forces last year, despite the Covid-19 pandemic!
From Spina Bifida to visual impairment, and PTSD to brain injury – and everything in-between, our programs serve those in our community living with a physical disability. We believe there is something for everyone.
The mission of RHISP is to provide competitive and non-competitive athletic opportunities to individuals with physical disabilities to enhance quality of life, promote physical fitness, introduce recreational and wheelchair sports and challenge participants to perform at a competitive level.
RHISP is 100% funded by philanthropic support: individual gifts, corporate sponsorships, and grants.
