AVIATION LEADERSHIP ACADEMY INC

Warren County, Tennessee is an underserved lower income county in the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains and typically do not offer career opportunities or a path to higher education when students complete high school other than standard school curriculum.
Aviation Leadership Academy will provide a state approved standard Aviation Stem Program for 9 - 12th grade students to prepare them for alternative careers in aviation. The physical facilities are located on two acres directly across the street from the main gate to Warren County Veteran's Memorial Airport.
The property currently includes a 6,200 sq ft hangar that needs substantial clean up, fix up, repair, and upgrading in order to host students in the 2026-27 school year.
As funds become available, a 10,000 sq ft state of the art classroom complex will be completed on the property next to the hangar.
Currently the Academy has 5 aircraft that have been donated for students to learn the basics of airframe and powerplant technology, sheet metal design, blueprint reading, electronic flight controls, and other hands-on aviation related skills
In addition, the Academy has partnered with an international flight simulator manufacturer and they have agreed to provide 15 next generation networked flight simulators including ongoing maintenance on them.
We have partnered with EAA Chapter 1700 Warren County TN Inc to provide volunteer mentors during the early stages of the Academy's growth. All officers and directors of the Academy are volunteers. There are no employees. The teaching staff will be accredited Tennessee high school staff augmented by EAA volunteers as needed.
