Thank you for taking the time to learn about Bunker Brothers and what our organization is doing.
We are building a community where veterans can make real connections and strengthen each other. This aligns with our core values of Community, Support & Strength. The first step towards our goal was creating a podcast (From The Bunker) where veterans tell their stories, and offering merchandise that is relatable to service members and veterans.
The next and most important step is the The Bunker App. The Bunker App is an exclusive veteran/service member platform that will allow users to find other users near them with similar interests. We all know that iron sharpens iron, and giving veterans an easy way to connect and regain the community they lost when they left the service will only strengthen them. Furthermore, The Bunker App will mitigate isolation which is a major contributor to the epidemic that is veteran suicide.
A major feature of the app will be the RED FLARE button which will allow users to alert other users nearby that they are in crisis. Having peers be able to reach out to a brother or sister in crisis could be life saving.
As we grow, we aim to have trained, veteran crisis responders around the country to respond to RED FLARE’s as they happen. We also plan to scale the app into an employment placement tool for veterans and a place to find veteran owned businesses to support. We will also include an easy way for veterans to find resources and organizations that can assist veterans in all facets of life.
To accomplish this goal, we rely on merchandise sales, donors and sponsors. With Bunker Brothers, sponsors will have the unique ability to get their message, products or open jobs in front of the veteran and active duty community unlike anywhere else.
