FRIENDS OF THE CHILLICOTHE-ROSS COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Friends of the Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library provide assistance to the library by supporting library events and programs, as well as providing specific equipment and supplies for the library and its staff. The Friends organize an annual book sale of discarded books to earn money for these needs.

The Annual Military Appreciation Day Picnic is sponsored by the Friends of the Library, library staff, and the Ross County Veterans Council. It is held at the library on Armed Forces Day. It is open to the public, and is meant to honor members of the military, living and deceased. The Veteran's Council provides lunch, and there are games for kids, music, the Color Guard, local government proclamations and much more. We invite the local Veterans Administration, law enforcement and other organizations to provide information and services for veterans. It is a fun day that is much appreciated by the military and the public.
