MILITARY OUTREACH USA NFP

We develop resources, tools and programs to be used to service the Military Community which are shared at no cost with our partners. We actively engage with our community partners to help Veterans and First Responders overcome the invisible wounds of war including Moral Injury, Military Sexual Trauma, PTSD.

We resource and empower our partners through training, mentoring and coaching so they can enhance their presence in their communities. We work with VA medical facilities, Veteran service organizations, houses of worship, businesses, civic groups, schools and individuals. By providing beds and Move-in-Essential items as "Welcome Home" gifts to Veterans who have qualified to transition from homelessness into residences we show that they have not been forgotten and are honored for their service and sacrifice.
Our educational workshops help Veterans and caregivers to recognize behaviors from moral injury, PTSD and military sexual traumas and how to best work with those who are exhibiting those behaviors.

We are funded through donations from individuals and groups who want to enhance the lives of those who have served our country so well. Our Chicago beds-for-vets program received a two year (2023-2024) $50,000 Honor Grant from the Cook County Department of Veteran Affairs to ensure funds will be available to provide beds for Veterans in the greater Chicago area.

Members of our organization serve on a volunteer basis with a few part-time contract staff to keep our operating costs low . We are honest and forthright in our administration, service and outreach activities. We tie these activities directly to our mission and report our results accurately and transparently.
