"Heroes and Horses", a program associated with "Horses of Hope", offers equine assisted activities to veterans. Using our six therapy horses, "Heroes and Horses" provides equine related activities and a safe environment for veterans to interact socially and provide each other with mutual support and encouragement. Our veterans participate in veteran related programs such as Wreaths Across America" and hold an annual motorcycle rally, "Steel Horses for Real Horses". As Ronald Reagon quoted Winston Churchill, "The outside of a horse is good for the inside of a man" and we have found this to be very true in our experience working with veterans.
