Awake Ministries is a holistic nonprofit organization with a vast outreach into its community. Established in 2009, our ministry's services continue to grow, making a profound impact in the lives of Shelby and surrounding counties.
Our Serenity Center Food Pantry feeds on a weekly average 1,900 individuals, 300 students K-12 through our Backpack Project, 40+ veterans, and monthly supports our senior demographic. In 2020 alone, we donated over 2 million dollars in food to meet our community's insecurity.
We are also well respected in the recovery and addiction arena as we direct and oversee both a women's and men's facility. Together with life application skills, continued education, job readiness, on a foundation of faith based recovery curriculum, once devastated lives are being restored.
Our Veterans Village (six tiny houses and a community center) is now home to veterans who have struggled with addiction, homelessness or in finding permanent low-income housing.
