We are a vibrant, 33-acre, cage-free campus designed, constructed and resourced to meet the needs of large and small rescued dogs of all breeds. From puppies to seniors, Big Dog Ranch Rescue is a loving transitional home.
With over a decade of professional and careful planning, Founder Lauree Simmons has “reimagined” the entire process from rescue to placement, creating a community and dog lover’s destination.
BIG DOG RANCH RESCUE:
• Saves dogs from abandonment and certain death. From rescue operations following natural disasters to aiding over crowded shelters throughout Florida and Southeast US, BDRR provides aid and support to save lives.
• Provides a friendly and safe transitional home and prepares dogs to thrive with their new families. Healthy is happy & every BDRR stay begins with comprehensive medical, and behavioral evaluations.
• Is following a path to self-sustainability and will soon offer for-pay services, including short and long-term boarding, training, and a vast selection of retail sales of dog care products.
• Is an education resource for the entire community on issues of dog care, health and safety, the absolute critical importance of spay and neuter, stray and abuse prevention, and other important topics.
• Brings together the community of dog lovers including adoptive parents, veterans, seniors, teens, special needs persons, donors, volunteers, staff and everyone who visits our campus.
• Dog rescue is a 24/7 calling. We won’t rest until every dog has a loving family and we end dog homelessness forever.
Your support is the lifeline that enables us to carry out our life-saving mission. Because of our loyal donors, we surpassed our goals in 2023, saving an astounding 6,500 dogs. To date, Big Dog Ranch Rescue has saved the lives of 60,000 dogs. Our 2024 goal is to save even more lives: we want to find loving homes for 10,000 dogs.
