Cannon Ball Gala Celebrating Those Who Have Served

On Saturday, November 9, 2024, Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum Trust, Inc. is holding its annual fundraising gala.

The festivities for this fun and patriotic evening will begin with cocktails and hors d' oeuvres as our museum comes alive! Guests will then proceed to the ballroom for a night filled with fine food and entertainment. We will also honor and recognize Soldiers & Sailors' 2024 Friend & Patriot of the Year.

The Cannon Ball Gala is our largest fundraising event of the year that we hold. Most of our events are Free as we want to give back to the community as much as possible. This event is one that directly funds our ability to offer free veteran and educational programming as well from our African American Heritage Celebration held each February, to our Memorial Day Ceremony & Celebration, the Hall of Valor Ceremony honoring our regions' veterans in March, to our Senior Citizens Day each August and Fill the Hill campaign honoring veterans each and every Veterans Day, we uphold our mission to never forget the stories of veterans who have served across all of Pennsylvania.

This event serves as our opportunity to showcase who we are and what we do best to foundations, corporations and individuals and to hopefully further engage them moving forward so that we can always be working to advance and further our mission.

Due to the relationships we have with our rental vendors, costs for the gala are very low, making this event tremendously impactful on our ability to fund what is needed most.

Finally, this will be a particularly special year for our Annual Gala as we are asking each of our sponsors to nominate a veteran who will be recognized on stage that evening. We are very excited about this piece and hope you will be also.

We have been in existence for 114 years and with your help, our historical landmark can continue to be preserved and cherished by the communities and veterans and their families. Thank you for all of your time, consideration, generosity and support. It means more than words can possibly say.
