TLC FOUNDATION INC

The Thurmont Lions Club has proudly served our community and surrounding areas since 1929. For numerous years, we have sponsored the local Boy Scout Troop, awarding scholarships, provided eyeglasses for those who cannot afford them, sponsored an annual Easter Egg Hunt for the community as well as many other community projects.

In recent years, we have begun Youth Recognition, donations to Catoctin High School and it's feeders, Teacher of the Year Program, Preschool Vision Screenings, Volunteer of the Year Program, Police Officer of the Year Award, sponsorship of the TMS and CHS LEO Clubs and coordination of the annual Thurmont Make a Difference Day.

Our signature project has been the Trolley Trail Project - the former trolley right of way has been transformed into a hiking/biking trail for the community. This project created an opportunity to preserve a special piece of our history while creating a heritage for our future generations. There is so much more we can achieve in and around Thurmont.

The accomplishments of the Thurmont Lions Club are possible as a direct result of the support of the community. Per our charter, 100% of the profits from our fundraisers are given back - approximately 90% to the local community and 10% to vision research and Lions International programs.
