BETTY ALLEN DAR

Our mission is to preserve historic properties, advance genealogical research, honor veterans and active-duty military, educate youth, celebrate America’s milestones and local heroes. We collaborate with veteran services and nonprofit organizations to support underserved and underprivileged populations through donations and service.

Betty Allen Chapter DAR, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-political, volunteer women's service organization dedicated to preserving American history, securing America's future through better education and promoting patriotism.

The Historic Clapp House, built around 1753 and located at 148 South Street in Northampton, MA, is managed by the Betty Allen Chapter DAR, Inc. The property is accessible to the public for tours and historical programs featuring local artisans and crafts.
