Maynard House is an essential part of community-based support for healthcare in our region, working to help diminish the financial burden of access to healthcare. Our home-like guesthouse consists of eight private bedrooms, a full kitchen, and an open shared space to enjoy meals and relax after a long day of appointments or supporting loved ones. We operate with a small, dedicated staff of two full-time employees, one part-time employee, and two Resident Managers who live on-site, overseen by an all-volunteer Board. Maynard House is unique in its efforts to diminish the financial burden of access to healthcare by offering all guests a low-cost, subsidized rate of $40 per person per night. The cost is significantly lower than other lodging options in the Upper Valley region. In addition, no one is turned away due to inability to pay, with approximately 30% of guests paying even less than the standard $40 fee, if anything.
