The Disabled Veteran Empowerment Network (DVEN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of disabled veterans and their families through advocacy, community programs, and access to critical resources. Founded and led by veterans, DVEN understands the unique challenges faced by those who have served, especially those living with the visible and invisible wounds of war.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to empower disabled veterans to thrive. We achieve this by connecting veterans and their caregivers to essential benefits and support services, raising awareness about veteran suicide, and delivering innovative, community-centered programs that foster resilience, belonging, and purpose.
At the heart of our work is the belief that no veteran should feel forgotten or alone. Through a combination of grassroots outreach, national campaigns, and direct support programs, DVEN serves as a bridge between veterans, the services they have earned, and the community eager to support them.
Our Core Programs
Rally4Vets – Driving to Save Lives
Our flagship initiative, Rally4Vets, harnesses the power of motorsports to raise awareness about the critical issue of veteran suicide and fund service dogs and emotional support programs for veterans in need. Through a series of events, including our annual Top Dog Championships—the world’s only military team motorsports competition—Rally4Vets engages veterans and civilians alike in a spirited, fun, and impactful way.
Participants from across the United States, representing branches such as the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, and Coast Guard, come together to race not just for trophies but for a cause that truly matters. Our motto, “We Drive. They Survive.”, reflects our commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those struggling with PTSD, depression, and the challenges of reintegration.
In addition to the Top Dog Championships, Rally4Vets organizes:
• Be The One Road Rally: A cross-country journey that stops at veteran service organizations, VFW posts, and American Legion halls to raise awareness of the veteran suicide crisis and share resources.
• Sim Racing League: A virtual racing community for veterans and motorsports enthusiasts to connect, compete, and build community from anywhere.
• Cycling and Pickleball Programs: Fostering wellness and camaraderie through accessible sports that promote physical and mental health.
Service Dog and Emotional Support Programs
DVEN’s fundraising efforts through Rally4Vets directly support the placement of service dogs and emotional support animals for veterans. These highly trained dogs provide life-saving assistance, helping veterans manage PTSD, anxiety, and mobility challenges, offering a constant source of companionship and hope.
The Fellowship
DVEN’s Fellowship is a community of veteran business owners, executives, and leaders who come together to network, share resources, and mentor one another. The Fellowship highlights and promotes veteran-owned businesses, creating opportunities for collaboration, professional growth, and economic empowerment within the veteran community.
Advocacy and Outreach
DVEN is a vocal advocate for issues affecting disabled veterans, from access to VA benefits and mental health resources to employment opportunities and community integration. We work to raise awareness through campaigns, media outreach, and public events, ensuring that the challenges and needs of disabled veterans remain visible and addressed.
How You Can Help
DVEN is powered by a community of passionate supporters, volunteers, and partners who believe in the power of collective action. Here’s how you can get involved:
