MusicWorks 4 Veterans

Participating in music-making and engaging in the creative process brings profound healing benefits to Veterans, military service members transitioning back to civilian life, and their families. MusicWorks 4 Veterans facilitates access to these transformative experiences by organizing and hosting a series of open music jam sessions, as well as providing interactive musical entertainment for residents at Veteran homes and VA hospitals. Through these activities, Veterans can safely reintegrate into a supportive social environment, experience the joy of creating music, forge new friendships, and find inspiration to share their stories. These experiences often inspire the creation of original songs, reflecting the unique journeys and emotions of the participants.

Looking ahead to 2025, MusicWorks 4 Veterans plans to establish an activities and administration center in the heart of the JBLM military community in Lakewood, Washington. This center will allow us to host additional music jams, open mics, special events, and provide space for music lessons. The facility will also serve as the headquarters for our organization’s administrative operations and the management of our music equipment inventory.

Your donation to MusicWorks 4 Veterans will make a significant impact, supporting the continuation and growth of our 501(c)(3) organization as we work to serve Veterans and their families through music. Since our founding in November 2012, we have proudly operated on an all-volunteer basis with no paid staff.
