This project expands our organization to complete building and education spaces for our local community who doesn't have the same funding, access, insurance, or economic status to visit a behavioral health clinic or equine therapy. By creating this space for our community members, we are providing a no-cost center where both horses and humans can heal. Horses provide a judgement-free, calm, and safe space where people who have endured trauma, abuse, and other behavioral health issues, can heal.
Equine therapy can reduce anxiety, depression, symptoms of mental illness, communication skills, including non-verbal communication, impulse control and emotional regulation, self-esteem, self-acceptance, and confidence. We also hold quarterly events, such as honey giveaways, free u-pick berry field days, Hops for Horses event with a local brewery, and other cost-free events for the community. We have over 40 regular volunteers from the community who spend several days a week with our horses, gardening, and enjoying the
peacefulness our ranch brings them.
