Protez Foundation was formed in May, 2022, as local community volunteers in Minnesota answered the call to help support Ukraine in its fight for freedom against the Russian invasion. As thousands of soldiers, civilian adults and children have been getting injured and mutilated in the course of the ongoing war, Ukrainian medics have been running out of capacity and supplies to keep up with the rising need to provide medical care to the wounded. At Protez Foundation, we are committed to helping rehabilitate and give a chance to have a normal life to the brave Ukrainian defenders, civilians and kids who have suffered limb loss during this conflict.
With an exceptionally dedicated staff of volunteers, including a skilled prosthetic surgeon, Dr. Yakov Gradinar, we can take on this challenge and truly make a difference in the lives of the Ukrainian war victims. In a matter of a few weeks, the team at Protez has established a network of care providers along the entire continuum - from traveling to the US to completing rehab after the prosthetic surgery - with five Ukrainian soldiers already treated (read more here: https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/5-ukrainian-solders-receive-prost...) and six civilians currently undergoing treatment (read more here: https://www.fox9.com/video/1101286).

Today we are asking for your direct support to help suffered human beings live their life fully and with dignity, and those who believe war veterans deserve to receive quality medical care to honor their sacrifices.
