To provide and preserve educational and culturally enriching exhibits, documents, oral histories, while providing resources to queries beginning with the earliest settlers of the Cibolo Creek watershed of La Vernia to the present; to enlighten visitors of all ages about the diverse lives and traditions of the people who made La Vernia a unique community; and to inspire a perpetual commitment to preserving the heritage of La Vernia, Wilson County, Texas. Additionally, support the recognition of La Vernia area Veterans with a memorial and Veteran events.
The purpose of this Association is to research, record, recognize, publish, document and encourage interest in the history of La Vernia, Wilson County, Texas. Our goal is to accurately and properly preserve the truthful history of La Vernia, for this and future generations and to recognize La Vernia area Veterans by sponsoring a memorial and veteran’s events.
