HORSES OF HOPE-CABALLOS DE ESPERANZA INC

We are a 501c3 and certified Puerto Rico charity founded in 2018 in Isabela, Puerto Rico. we provide therapeutic riding and other equine activities to people with disabilities and those suffering from trauma. We acquire and train rescued horses to be our equine partners and we make our services at low cost (or free) for people who qualify but cannot afford to pay. We seek to be diverse and inclusive and expand holistic and compassionate horsemanship to under-served communities and groups in the equine industry: we do this through education of our volunteers, as well as clients and staff. Horses are mirrors of the soul and they help others see what is inside – their strengths and abilities to move forward as well as the fear, guilt and limitations they can leave behind. By learning to use and demonstrate their special abilities to connect with horses, our clients are empowered to improve not only their own lives, but the lives of their families and the community as well.
