Manassas, VirginiaNOVA Veteran’s mission is critical due to the vulnerable and most susceptible population of veterans we support, who are the elderly, disabled, health-challenged, and underserved. Our distinct population of veterans are not able to access and receive services without our direct personal attention, support and case management. Such as: filling out online applications, searching for and finding the appropriate services, and then confirming services are received. We are the only local organization that case manages, advocates and provides continual follow up to ensure services are received and continued as needed. We are the human being on the other end, not a recording, bot, or phone prompt. Frustration and confusion can overwhelm many veterans, leaving them suffering; sad; hopeless, and sometimes suicidal. We alleviate these stressful conditions by being their bridge to services and resources. Veterans 55 and older have the largest number of suicides, and that number increases with age (VA National Suicide Data Report 2005-2016). NOVA Veterans Association does not let them fall through the cracks and they are not forgotten.

Even trying to hear phone prompts and getting help can become completely frustrating. NOVA Veterans is the human being on end of the line, and we provide personal, one-on-one coordinated care and support using our comprehensive network of vetted and proven local resource partners that focus on the critical areas of safety, essential needs, healthcare, transportation, ...
