The third week of March is proclaimed by the governor of the State of California as Women’s Military History Week. The entire month of March is National Women’s History Month. The Women Veterans Unity Group recognizes the many achievements of women, and we especially honor the contributions of all of those that have served in the Armed Forces through special events, partnerships, and collaborations. The Women Veterans Unity Group “Thank A Shero” event promote positive images and public awareness of women’s contributions from all branches and eras of service. We provide a fun event, morning/lunch refreshments, an agenda with speakers, service providers, and community providers that link our military women veterans to community and services to close the gaps and improve gender-specific resources. We recognize all our military women and veteran attendees for their service to our country. These events have been ongoing since
