Healing Retreats for Female Veterans: Restoring Resilience Through Connection, Community, and Trauma-Informed Care
/ OPERATION JULIETFemale veterans carry extraordinary strength—and often invisible wounds.
After serving their country, many women leave the military facing challenges that are rarely acknowledged or adequately supported. These can include trauma, isolation, loss of identity, difficulty transitioning to civilian life, and barriers to accessing effective mental health care. Despite their resilience and leadership, female veterans remain one of the most underserved populations within the veteran community.
Operation Juliet’s Healing Retreats exist to change that.
These retreats provide female veterans with a safe, supportive, and women-led environment where they can step away from daily stressors and focus fully on healing, connection, and renewal. Designed by a female combat veteran, the retreats are trauma-informed, holistic, and rooted in the understanding that healing happens best in trusted community.
Each retreat brings together women who have served from across the country for an immersive experience centered on emotional well-being, peer connection, and personal growth. Participants engage in thoughtfully curated healing modalities that may include mindfulness practices, creative expression, guided reflection, nature-based experiences, and other holistic approaches led by trauma-informed facilitators. No two journeys are the same, and participants are never asked to share more than they are comfortable with.
For many women, this is the first time since leaving the military that they feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
Operation Juliet’s retreats are intentionally small and relational, allowing trust to develop naturally and meaningful connections to form. The shared experience of military service creates a powerful bond among participants, reducing isolation and fostering a sense of belonging that often continues long after the retreat ends.

Many describe the experience as life-changing, offering not just healing, but a restored sense of purpose and connection.
