STRIDES THERAPEUTIC HORSEMANSHIPCENTER

Since 2006, Strides Therapeutic Horsemanship Center has been serving the Tri-Cities and surrounding communities. Participants come from throughout the greater Columbia Basin area to interact with their 1,000 pound "therapist.” Strides Therapeutic Horsemanship Center provides quality therapeutic riding and other Equine-Assisted Services (EAS) to improve the health and well-being of people with physical, emotional, and mental well-being needs. As Strides continues to grow and strengthen as a special service organization in the Tri-Cities community, our goal continues to be to provide our participants with a positive, safe, life enriching experience.

Strides offers several programs that include adaptive riding, hippotherapy (through our partnership with Kadlec), summer camps, and private lessons. Strides also offers a unique equine-assisted service called Horses & Heroes. This program is designated for military veterans, police, fire fighters, and other emergency service providers and is completely FREE of charge to the client as a way of saying Thank You for their service to our country and communities.

Strides currently holds certification from the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International or otherwise known as PATH Int’l. A key benefit of PATH Int’l. Certified Centers are the standards and requirements of extensive training and continuing education for our therapists, instructors, horses and volunteers so that we may better serve our participants and community.
