We average 40-55 horses at all times. Many are starvation cases seized by Animal Control. We receive no tax dollars to help these horses recover their health. Donations for Horse Sponsors helps offset the cost of veterinary care, farrier and special feed these types of intakes require. A starvation case costs more than 3 times that of a healthy horse.
