Underground Rainbow Experiment

The Underground Rainbow Experiment (URE) is a system of Black Trans artist collectives that
use our creativity to free ourselves and our people. The URE aligns deeply with IAM’s mission due to our commitment to creating safe spaces for Black Trans people (fostering community), cultivating cultural organizers and culture bearers (facilitating cultural engagement), and supporting Black Trans Creatives in sustaining their craft (free expression) through our programming for Black Trans people. We hope to accomplish these goals through artistic productions and leadership development programs for Black Trans creatives that encourage personal and collective freedom through self-discovery, self-love, and interdependence.
