Marin City Live, initiated in October 2020, is a series of monthly virtual author events offered through the Marin City Library where authors of color speak to the children of Marin City via ZOOM, read from their work, and take questions from attendees. We also buy the authors’ books for children who virtually attend the program. The mission of the project is to encourage literacy and love of reading among the children of Marin City by connecting them with authors of color and also to inspire them to become writers themselves.
