Mission Statement Established in 1931 the Visalia Emergency Aid Council (VEAC) serves low-income individuals, seniors, and families with children residing in the Visalia Unified School District including the outlying areas of Goshen and Ivanhoe. Our Mission: To diminish hunger by managing a food pantry and providing other services to low-income families and individuals in our community. Our Vision: A hunger-free community Our Commitment: To serve families and individuals with respect and compassion.

Since 1931 Visalia Emergency Aid Council (VEAC) has remained a constant source of support to our community. VEAC serves low-income families, individuals, seniors and veterans within the Visalia Unified School District which includes the smaller communities of Goshen and Ivanhoe. Our primary focus is to provide nutritious food, rental and utility assistance and other services to those living at or below the poverty level. VEAC works to mitigate the negative physical and emotional effects of food insecurity and poverty in our community by providing a safety net for those living below or at the poverty level.
