Bandura for the Future (BFF) is a fundraising initiative of Ukrainian-American soprano and bandurist Teryn Kuzma under the auspices of the Berkeley-based 501(c)(3) non-profit Ukraine Matters.
As one of the oldest Ukrainian folk music instruments, the bandura has an incredible ability to bring people together. Its beautiful and otherworldly sound shows audiences the true heart of Ukraine. Concerts are hosted privately and publicly in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Arizona.
We are raising funds for two extraordinary Ukrainian medical centers transforming the lives of wounded Ukrainian Heroes:
(1) The Superhumans Center is a world-class medical facility in Ukraine dedicated to restoring lives shattered by war. Specializing in prosthetics, reconstructive surgery, and rehabilitation, Superhumans provides life-changing care to wounded civilians and defenders. With a mission rooted in dignity and resilience, the Center empowers patients to recover and thrive.
(2) UNBROKEN is a national rehabilitation center in Lviv, Ukraine, that stands as a symbol of strength and humanity in times of war. Providing comprehensive, free medical care — including reconstructive surgery, prosthetics, psychological support, and rehabilitation — UNBROKEN helps injured civilians and soldiers reclaim their lives. As a place where healing meets dignity, the center ensures that no one who has suffered for Ukraine is left behind.
All donations are tax-deductible. The majority of the funds collected go directly to the partnering hospitals. The rest is used for logistical support of the Initiative and organizing concerts for wounded Ukrainian soldiers on the ground in Ukraine.
