We Are Reshaping Shared Housing
Our mission is to address housing insecurity, substance use disorder, justice issues, and recovery by offering secure and reasonably priced housing to those who require it. We feel responsible for enhancing the neighborhoods where we live, work, and play. We replace tents with roofs, cardstock with sheetrock, and cement with carpet all in a safe home environment.
Helping People Rewrite Their Stories
Storydoor Homes Foundation® is addressing housing insecurity by creating secure and affordable shared housing in thriving communities. We acquire single-family homes in safe neighborhoods, offering refuge to those in need, including individuals recovering from substance use disorders, veterans, justice-involved individuals, foster adults, and anyone seeking stable housing.
Through collaboration with social service partners, who provide funding, services, and supervision, we’ve created a modern shared housing model, advancing beyond the outdated recovery housing framework of the past five decades. By providing supportive housing in welcoming neighborhoods, Storydoor Homes Foundation® is helping communities and individuals build secure, fulfilling lives. Our vision is to establish a Storydoor Home in every U.S. city.
Our Vision
At Storydoor Homes Foundation, we are dedicated to eliminating housing insecurity for those in need. Our mission is to provide safe, sustainable housing solutions that foster mutual support, compassion, and kindness. Through these initiatives, individuals facing housing challenges can embark on a transformative journey toward self-sufficiency, reconnect with loved ones, and regain control of their lives.
Consider Donating Today
Our administrative expenses are covered by state and local government contracts and program participants. This means 100% of your donation goes directly toward ending housing insecurity across America, providing safe, supportive housing for those in recovery from substance use disorders. Your generosity helps replace temporary shelters with real homes, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. Over 93% of our program participants not only achieve sobriety but also maintain it after graduating. With your donation, we can:
1. Acquire additional housing solutions in safe, supportive neighborhoods.
2. Continue offering services such as individual and group therapy, life skills training, and community substance use education, helping our residents and communities reach their goals and achieve lasting recovery.
3. Support the fight against the drug and homelessness crisis across America.
