We believe that being outdoors is a powerful thing. It is often something many people take for granted, and something others loose out on when they have a condition confining them to the use of a mobility device. We believe no one should loose out on the freedom to be outdoors due to a disability or mobility challenge. The equipment is out there but expensive, so someone’s financial status shouldn’t be an obstacle for helping people have access to this specialized equipment to help them get outdoors! After becoming a paraplegic, Jake's life was completely flipped upside down. Although most could just cling to the negativity, Jake recognizes that God works all things together for his good. A freak hunting accident is hard to explain, but at the end of the day it has been such an incredible blessing that has let Jake empathize with and support others in similar situations. We are committed to using whatever circumstances God allows life to throw at us and utilizing them as best we can for HIS glory!
We loan out our chairs FREE OF CHARGE to anyone with a mobility challenge anywhere in South Carolina as well as select parts of North Carolina. You don't have to be confined to a wheelchair to benefit from this program. Whether you broke your leg and just want to be able to stay active this summer, or are elderly and have trouble safely navigating uneven terrain, we still want YOU to be able to participate in this project!
