Five Mile Neighborhood Association is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers assistance to residence in need in the community.
Mission: The Five Mile Neighborhood Association advocates on behalf of the community and frequently responds to requests for assistance from their residents. They hold regular meetings for residents of Five Mile to enhance safety, strengthen, support, and educate the neighborhood for the purpose of increasing visibility and improving the quality of life, and preventing community deterioration.
All the activities of the group are beneficial to the community. The goal of our organization is to improve the quality of living in the area by working with City of Dallas departments to stop Illegal dumping, code violations, and crime among other things”. Because the community is predominantly composed of low-income residents, the primary function of the organization benefits low-income people in Texas.
We host back-to-school events, gift elders and select families with food baskets during the holidays. During the winter months we give out blankets, coats, socks, shoes and toiletries.
