Ewing Sarcoma causes secondary cancer in young girl Brylee
efter ARMER FOUNDATION FOR KIDSOn June 23, 2023, a 9-year-old girl named Brylee heard the words no child should ever hear: Ewing’s Sarcoma. That day, a storm began—but so did the legend of a little warrior with a heart bigger than the sky. For nine months, Brylee fought with a smile. Chemo ravaged her body, but it couldn’t touch her spirit. She endured a full hip replacement and 3/4 femur resection, rising stronger every time.
Just when hope flickered back to life… Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) struck—a cruel secondary cancer caused by the very treatment that saved her. But Brylee? She didn’t flinch. Two grueling 30-day chemo cycles. A life-saving bone marrow transplant in March 2025, donated by her hero brother, Bryson (14).
The transplant worked. Victory.
Then June 2025 hit: ICU. Central line infection. Septic embolism. MSSA. MRSA.
Over six surgeries. Two months intubated. And still—she smiles.
Still, she charges into the storm like her favorite animal: the buffalo.
Brylee isn’t just surviving.
She’s redefining courage.
She’s teaching us that hope runs faster than fear, and love outshines every dark day.
