Hurricane Ian is barreling toward Florida as a Category 3 storm and is expected to intensify into a Category 4 storm with life-threatening storm surges when it makes landfall on the Sunshine State Wednesday night. Approximately 2.5 million Floridians have been ordered to evacuate as Hurricane Ian moves closer.
This comes after Hurricane Fiona devastated Puerto Rico last week, triggering floods and mudslides that wiped out homes, bridges and other types of infrastructure. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has declared a public health emergency in Puerto Rico. To help those impacted by Hurricane Fiona in Puerto Rico and Hurricane Ian in Florida, and Western Wildfires, as well as countless other crises.
