Windridge Therapeutic Equestrian Center of East Texas, Inc. strives to enhance the quality of life for our children, adults and veterans with special needs,disabilities or mental health needs through equine-assisted activities and therapy(EAS) services and to impact the lives of our volunteers.

Windridge Therapeutic Equestrian Center of East Texas, Inc. provides equine activities and therapies to children and adults with various forms of physical, mental and social disabilities, special needs and/or dysfunctions using the three-dimensional movement of the horse. Windridge serves the greater East Texas community. Windridge utilizes multiple horses and lots of volunteers 5 days per week. Benefits include but are not limited to gaining balance and coordination, improving hand and eye coordination,relaxing and strengthen muscles, gaining the skills to improve walking. Encourages language and listening skills as well as general awareness of the surrounding world. Self-esteem increases tremendously as well as having fun riding "their" horse.
