Horse Tales Literacy Program introduces 1st graders to horses and reading. Each child is presented with a book at our first look day when they meet some of the horses from our herd at their school. Then a few weeks later they are invited to the Ranch for a field day which includes them reading to a horse and receiving another book of their own.
We currently serve five schools each year but would love to expand the program to reach every first grade class within 30 miles of the ranch.
