The South Carolina Cotton Museum is a technological, educational and cultural resource center, which enhances the understanding of cotton and the cotton industry. The museum serves as a venue for educational and social interaction for individuals and companies interested in preserving cotton's heritage and advancing the cotton industry. The Lee County Veterans Museum tells the story of Lee County's contribution to military conflicts throughout the world and also serves as a gathering place for veterans.

The South Carolina Cotton Museum is open 6 days a week to educate the public about the region's rich agricultural heritage. Visitors from around the world come to learn about cotton and how it drove the development of not only the agriculture and textile industries, but also innovations in transportation and engineering. The Lee County Veterans Museum educates the public on the history of world conflicts and also honors those who served. The Veterans Museum is also a gathering place for veterans, housing Lee County's American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars and their auxiliaries.
