Our mission is to make the healing benefits of sculling available to everyBODY regardless of their challenges to participation. In short we "cut hats to fit heads, not heads to fit hats." We can adapt our boats to allow people with almost any kind of physical challenge to participate and we adapt our coaching to address all challenges, whether physical, emotional, cognitive, or sensory. And it is our goal to leave no one out due to lack of financial means. We also believe that our boathouse should reflect the diversity of our community and we strive to achieve this by our commitment to inclusion and equity.

Delta Sculling Center is a non-profit organization that provides access to fitness, health, leisure and recreation through the inclusive sport of sculling (rowing with two oars). We ensure that our programs are available to each and every person regardless of physical limitations or economic means. Delta Sculling Center is where everyBODY sculls!

Delta Sculling Center teaches athletes of all abilities to scull - that requires coaches, volunteers, equipment, supplies, maintenance and a boathouse to store everything and to come together:

OarBusters Team - uses adaptive equipment to help athletes with physical/sensory/cognitive and emotional challenges get on the water. We provide access to our beautiful Delta waterways for everyBODY, so that every individual in our community can reap the benefits of physical activity, teamwork, discipline, and peace on the water.

Freedom Rows Team - one of only 33 military veteran rowing programs in the country. Our Freedom Rows program is considered a premier example of helping physically disabled and able-bodied veterans with PTSD, TBI and other combat-related issues.

Youth Programs - we offer mixed gender novice programs for middle school and high school youth, grades 6-12. We strive to include those from under-served areas of our community and to be diverse racially and socio-economically.

Delta Sculling Center is highly respected in the rowing community and is seen as a role model in bringing diversity and inclusion to our sport. This is due to hard-working, hands-on commitment of numerous volunteers working with OarBusters, Freedom Rows and our youth programs. Its boathouse doors are open to everyone from first-timers to seasoned master scullers.
