Military Veterans Against Child Abuse (MVACAUNITED) has been named a Top Nonprofit for the last 3 years by the Great Nonprofits organization. Our innovative program, The ABC's and 123's of Child Safety, has helped to teach children, as young as two years old and up to the age of six years old, the basics of safety. While the children are learning their numbers and alphabet, we have incorporated teaching them basic safety topics (i.e. stranger awareness, bullying, fire, pool and car safety, etc.) Once they have mastered the basics, staying safe is as natural to them as saying their ABC's! The book that this program was based on was awarded the Family Review Center organization's Best of 2014 and Editor's Choice Award.
We have another program, How To Deal With Strangers Safely, that was designed for 2nd through 5th graders. This program teaches elementary children three memorable, but important steps to safely interact with strangers. Teachers, students and school administrators have lauded the simplistic manner in which this program is taught and the resulting success. This program also stresses anti-bullying and kindness between peers.
Since our inception, we have developed a training program that organizations can use to help educate their employees about child safety and how to prevent and identify potential child abuse and trafficking in children as well as what to do about it.
Our newest program is just being introduced to children in our community and we will use sports as the catalyst to introduce "Creating AllStars". This program is a global initiative to promote Professionalism and Kindness in Sports, Education, and Life. It has already been hailed as ground-breaking by many youth coaches.
All children deserve to grow up safe and unafraid. With your support, we stand ready to educate and empower all children!
