DNA MILITARY NORTH CAROLINA INC

The Heroes Center Inc is the only 501c3 wrap around nonprofit that addresses the veteran social determinants of health and that connects the veteran community to necessary resources that impact their quality of life primarily in the High Point and Guilford County area and the surrounding counties. In 2023, veterans were connected to over 500 necessary resources that included addressing homelessness, employment, housing, social engagement, benefits and health care, food insecurity and much more. The organization accomplishes this mission by working collaboratively with a vast network of other nonprofits, agencies and organizations who are passionate about serving and honoring veterans.

Heroes Center Inc also has partnered with Business High Point Chamber of Commerce and Visit High Point Tourism Bureau to launch High Point Veterans Initiative to engage with transitioning service members at NC military installations on the highest level. The goal is to provide transitioning service members with options on living, working and playing in the Triad after their active duty service. The organization also hosts "Lunch and Learns" to educate the business community about best practices of providing veteran employees with ERG's that create a healthy work environment to enable them to thrive and to also attract other veteran talent as prospective employees.
