Emergency Shelter Support

efter WELCOME HOUSE INC

The Emergency Shelter Support project at Welcome House ensures that Native American families experiencing homelessness have access to safe, dignified, and family-centered shelter in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Our facility provides six private family rooms where parents and children can stay together, with access to warm meals, showers, hygiene supplies, and compassionate case management. We prioritize families with children and serve a majority of Native clients from Tribal Nations including Standing Rock, Spirit Lake, Mandan Hidatsa Arikara, Turtle Mountain, and others.

Support for this project helps cover essential operational costs such as utilities, cleaning supplies, bedding, maintenance, and staff time. It also ensures that families entering shelter are welcomed into a space that respects their dignity and cultural identity, and that they receive the resources they need to begin rebuilding their lives.
