Operation HIGH FLIGHT

OHF provides flights and simulator rides to qualifying recipients, provides airplanes at airshows for community outreach, and offers hangar and aircraft tours, aerospace education for aspiring youth, and warbird fly-bys for community events. The flights enable adventure therapy and lift spirits by enhancing mindfulness and presence with a new perspective on life! We offer inspiration by overcoming challenges, providing a sense of accomplishment, reinforcing resilience. We give back to the next generation through youth mentorship where we’re passionate and committed to providing positive role models to at-risk youth through our Aviation 101 course providing career guidance, subject matter expertise, and achievable goals.

OHF is an open, welcoming and non-judgmental organization who fosters peer-to-peer/youth-to-mentor engagement, encourages ongoing collaboration and program adaptation, and tailoring of flights and course materials to meet individuals’ needs and ability.

Beneficiaries include individuals ages 12+ who display an interest in aerospace education and who are nominated by their formal youth programs as well as veterans, first responders, and children's hospital patients who have medical or mental health challenges who present voluntarily or are nominated by their hospitals and/or other non-profits.
