For over 60 years, the Woodstock Lions Club Foundation has supported Lions Club projects, including the Georgia Lions Camp for adults and youth with visual impairment, the Leader Dog program, the Georgia Lions Club Lighthouse, and disaster relief through the Lions Club International Foundation.
Locally, the Woodstock Lions Club Foundation provides free vision screening, collects used eyeglasses for cleaning and redistribution, arranges eyeglasses and eye care for those who lack funds and insurance, refers persons in need with serious eye problems to the Georgia Lions Lighthouse in Atlanta, provides college scholarships to Woodstock high schools, participates in Adopt-A-Road, financially supports and works in the Etowah High School vegetable garden, volunteers at St. Michael's Food Pantry, annually sponsors the Warm Coat Drive for MUST Ministries, and provides financial assistance, food, clothing, equipment, and/or materials to local food pantries, homeless veterans, the Cherokee Family Violence Center, and other charities.
