The Marquette City Band exists to perform artistically engaging concert music for the Marquette community, to carry on the proud tradition of a community band that has existed in Marquette for more than a century, to provide an opportunity for young musicians to experience playing in an advanced music ensemble, and to provide an opportunity for adults to continue performing high level traditional and contemporary band repertoire beyond their high school and college years.
The Marquette City Band is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit performing arts organization in Marquette, MI. The band performs free concerts for the Marquette community and surrounding areas year round. They provide a Winter and Spring concert as well as a Summer Concert series of 8-9 concerts per season.
