We are the Seattle Young Marines, located in Seattle, WA, and are proud to be a part of our nation’s premiere, award-winning program for boys and girls between the ages of eight and eighteen years of age.
The Young Marines promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle, and we rely heavily upon teaching and instilling the values of Discipline, Teamwork, and Leadership to youths participating in our program. Our goal is to set a positive example to instruct and inspire and develop leadership skills in our youths.
Upon completion of recruit training, participants are instructed in rank structure and allowed to take part in numerous activities in our area and sometimes in combination with other units when possible.
These activities include community service projects, encampments and team-building activities, and field trips to visit local and area sites of interest; Other activities include clear instruction about the dangers of drug abuse and helpful instruction on how to deal with peer pressure and other issues vital to our youths and America’s future.
